I thought I would write about The ‘Salinger’ documentary or my beloved Red Sox making it to the World Series, but figured that may bore some of you. I judge this based on my status updates on Facebook. If I write a post about the Salinger movie and no one comments, I get the message. If I post something about Boston sports, I usually get one idiot commenting how Biliceck is a cheating scumbag, and again I get the message. So I guess I’ll talk about my upcoming book.

Facts are it comes out December 17, and the title is ‘Brain Humor.’ It’s a memoir of my comedy journey, that begins with me recovering from brain surgery to remove a brain tumor. It then goes into the days of grinding on stage late at night to develop an act in New York City, and eventually coming to Los Angeles. The end I go into detail of my wonderful late friend Angelo Bowers. He was a brilliant comic, but even more a brilliant friend and person. His story needs to be told. I don’t want to go too much into detail, I’ll leave it to the book.

I do get a few letters here and there of people asking me when my next show is. Truth is I have been cutting down on my standup shows to focus on the book. But I promise to keep performing. I do hope after the book is released, there will be some sort of book tour and I will keep you posted on that.

I've been debating whether to seriously blog here. Like, there are basic updates I can post, or I can spill my guts to you people. I’m on the fence. I blame it more on my laziness than anything. A month ago I finished writing a memoir (to be released December 17th) in which I had to dig deep, write and relive some tough, grueling times. After finishing, my mind, brain and soul needed a rest. But I’m ready to dig deep again. Hopefully each week, I’ll write what’s on my mind. Fuck it, why not.

I do want to plug my Friday night gig: 8 pm at the Ice House, in Pasadena. Can’t tell you how much I love performing there. It’s part of their 53rd birthday celebration. 53 years!!! That is insane. When I’m there I love looking at the old photos and thinking about the history of Steve Martin building his act there. But I truly love walking in and having the staff greet me so warmly and ask me what jokes I’m going to do that night. It means a lot. The crowds are always packed and amazing.

OK enough sweet stuff. I'd just love to see people out for that show. Hope everyone is well. And  promise, next week some sort of blog.
